Immersive multimedia systems

ADL · 2007 — 2009

I built a low-cost, networked multi-projector system that turned a theatre’s walls and screens into a coordinated visual instrument. It combined a master operator console, a server for logic, separate display computers, projectors, audio, lighting control, and an auxiliary surtitling console.

The system was successfully installed for Air Con (2008), with a stable five-projector version documented in 2009. Projections were driven interactively during the performance, and surtitling was developed as part of the same live system.

The work grew from theatre projects including Hero (2007), Instant Café Kurang Manis (2007), and Air Con (2008), alongside independent theatre explorations begun in 2006.
