03 / The person in the practice

Better ways of working.

I’m Reza Rosli, a creative technologist, trainer and practitioner in Kuala Lumpur. My practice began with Media Lab Arts, where art, technology, sound, moving image, and interaction became parts of the same creative vocabulary.

My early work moved through multimedia authoring, digital signage, audiovisual integration, and show-control systems. Wanting to understand how people actually used those systems drew me into live performance and long-running theatre collaborations, where software, content, timing, space, and audiences had to work together.

From there I found my way into startups and creative agencies, building digital products and interactive campaigns while directing multidisciplinary technology teams. That path later took me into CTO leadership for a cloud-native SaaS product and then senior consulting work across technology, organisations, and regional client teams.

Today I work independently as a multidisciplinary practitioner and consultant. I bring those threads together to help organisations make thinking visible, work with complexity, strengthen how knowledge moves, and create practical ways to learn and adapt. The Connectome reflects the same practice: an evolving map of experience, learning, ideas, and experiments rather than a flat list of roles.

CommOne Vision → ADL · 2003–2010

Code meets the stage.

At CommOne Vision, working with sound, light, audiovisual, and show-control systems made me curious about how customers actually used the products. I followed that question into theatre, where making software and content for live productions let me explore storytelling and interaction across virtual experiences and physical devices.

Turn creative intent into interaction.

Across two agency chapters, I developed digital strategies and interactive work, then led multidisciplinary technology teams building digital properties and campaigns for major regional brands. The work sharpened how I translate a creative idea into systems that people can make, operate, and experience.
